The Holy Family Ex-students' Association (HyFyXs) is celebrating St. Ignatius's Feast with a fellowship Saint Ignatius Football tournament on Sunday 6th October 2024 8 am, and heartily invite you to participate in it.

(Due to rains & other commitments, it could not be scheduled earlier.) 

On July 31, the Universal Church marks the feast day of

St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Spanish saint is known for founding

the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits.

The Intention: To bring together on one platform the various communities of Holy Family viz: the school, the junior college, PTA, Teachers and faculty, Parish youth, Snehasdan, Vinayalaya priests and noviciates, and of course the Ex-Students. Expectation is to bring a synergy among the various communities leading to network effectively within all the groups at Holy Family, doing work for the greater good.

The Invitees: We invite (in no particular order) the following groups for their participation:

• Holy Family School (10th Std.) students

• Holy Family Junior College (11th or 12th Std.) students

• Holy Family School and college teaching and non-teaching staff

• Holy Family Parents' and Teachers' Association

• Holy Family Parish Committee and Sub-committees

• Vinayala Jesuits and Deacons

• Snehasadan students and ex-students

• Holy Family ex-students

The Format

1. This tournament is open to all - age, gender, religion & caste 

2. Participants can register by using the link mentioned here. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (REGISTRATIONS CLOSED)

3. Each player must bring her/his own kits and water. Footballs will be arranged by HyFyXs.

4. In the spirit of fellowship, all players from all the groups will be randomly mixed into teams of 7 + 4 (so clearly, it's not a competition among the groups), and play the tournament in a league format.

5. Each match will consist of 2 halves, 15 minutes each.

6. There will be no off-side.

7. This is a fellowship tournament; hence no entry fee will be charged, and no prize money awarded.

Important Dates

1. Player registration will be open till Friday 4th Oct'24 midnight.

2. Team listing, and draws will be held on Saturday 5th Oct'24 6 pm

3. The tournament will be held on Sunday, 6th Oct'24 8 a.m., on the school lower grounds

Note: At the end of the league matches; snacks will be provided to all participants
